Safety Coordinator

JFK T1 NEW YORK, Building 86 Cargo Plaza Rd, Jamaica, New York, United States of America Safety Coordinator Leads and ensures all safety guidelines, effective safety standards, processes and procedures are adhered to while enforcing and meeting all company and government regulation standards. You will Oversee adherence to safety procedures in airport operations. Perform routine inspection of airplane turnarounds, baggage handling, cleaning, and cargo services activity. Perform risk assessments as required. Conduct safety observations and provide corrective action to mitigate hazards and risks. Enter inspections and incidents into the database, issue weekly incident report lists and assist in developing safety related reports. Advise leadership on trends and provide solution-based recommendations to maintain a safe operational environment. Support incident investigations and claims reporting. Support safety initiatives and procedural requirements to ensure that the workforce behaviours are compliant with company expectations. Coordinate with station trainer to ensure training compliance. Will be a super-user for the safety hub database entering incident, compliance and corrective action information. Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. Can meet the Station’s attendance policy. Work on special projects as assigned. Strategic Thinking. Safety business Acumen. Results Driven. Problem Solving/Analysis.
