Picker/Packer Urgently Needed for Wallpaper Manufacturing Company in Fairfield, NJ on First Shift!

This role focuses on accurately picking, packing, and processing samples and orders in a warehouse environment, ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered to their destination on time. You will contribute directly to efficient inventory flow and high-quality order fulfillment while working on a steady first-shift schedule.

Shift: 10:30am-7:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Location: Fairfield, NJ

Pay: $19.25/hour; $28.88/hour

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack samples and orders with precision, ensuring accuracy in item selection, quantities, and labeling.
• Process orders in a timely manner so that shipments reach their destination on schedule.
• Handle warehouse inventory, including organizing, counting, and maintaining stock in designated areas.
• Prepare items for shipment by securely packing products and following established packing procedures.
• Use order picking methods and tools to locate and retrieve products from various warehouse locations.
• Follow standard operating procedures for warehouse packing, fulfillment, and sample processing.
• Lift and move boxes and materials as needed to support picking, packing, and inventory activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.

Essential Skills

• Warehouse experience, including handling inventory in a warehouse or fulfillment environment.
• Hands-on picking and packing experience, with the ability to perform order picking and warehouse packing tasks.
• Ability to read and analyze documents, reports, and computer screens in English.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during the scheduled shift.
• Comfort working in humid and hot environments in a warehouse that is not temperature controlled.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in fulfillment centers is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as part of general warehouse tasks.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, and processing of samples.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English in a warehouse setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FAIRFIELD, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
