Courier Supply Chain

This position plays a vital role in the transportation of medical supplies, lab specimen, equipment and other items between healthcare facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history To be completed asestablishedby department: (Administered at Department level) Must have current DOT medical card within 60 days of hire CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Provides timely pickup and delivery of all packages – includes but not limited to mail, lab specimens, medical supplies, forms, equipment, clean/soiled linen and medical/non‑medical records. Collaborates with supply chain staff to obtain the correct supplies and paperwork to ensure supply orders are delivered organized and complete. Adheres to delivery schedule and reports back to the hospital once deliveries are complete. Performs a routine cleaning of vehicles. Coordinates with supervisor to monitor assigned vehicles for needed maintenance and repairs and shuttles such vehicles to repair facility designated by the supervisor. On an as‑needed basis, performs other duties within Supply Chain to ensure the continuity of materials supplies throughout the hospital Ensures that anyone not employed by the WVU Medicine does not have access to nor is allowed in company vehicles during any delivery or in the presence of any medical supplies that have not been delivered. Must be dependable and detail oriented Must demonstrate good communication skills. Driver’s license, good driving record and ability to operate large trucks.
