Hollywood Burbank Airport Job Description Utility III Worker Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Status: Non-Exempt Pay: $38.27/hr. with additional $2.00/hr. shift differential for graveyard hours Schedule: Graveyard Shift Sunday – Thursday 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Description: Under general supervision, to perform various advanced and skilled level laborer duties including refuse collection, general cleaning, physical labor, weed abatement, advanced and skilled facility maintenance and assist Technicians. This is an advanced level position requiring advanced skills. Essential Functions Typical Tasks:

• Performs all Utility Worker 1 and 2 duties as assigned.
• Performs a wide variety of semiskilled and skilled labor maintenance activities (e.g. carpentry, roofing, plumbing,

painting, flooring, basic electrical knowledge, etc.).

• Installs drywall, tape and mud drywall, and tile and laminate flooring.
• Performs minor carpentry projects as needed.
• Reads and understands blue prints.
• Serves as a project lead in the absence of a supervisor.
• Performs airfield mowing and weed abatement.
• Utilizes, hand, power, electrical and specialized tools related to the trade
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications Employment Standards:

• Obtain and maintain security clearance as required by the Airport Security Plan and TSA regulations
• Possession or ability to obtain before appointment a valid California Driver License, Class C

Knowledge: • Advanced facilities maintenance skills related to, flooring, pavement, carpentry, roofing, painting, fencing, ceilings, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, and furniture • Operation of heavy equipment including tractors, backhoe, lift vehicles, and dump trucks, etc. Ability to: • Operate a motor vehicle in and around aircraft and ground support equipment Revised 7/2025

• Erect ladders or scissor lifts and ensure the safety of those working around or on such equipment
• Read and comprehend job diagrams, sketches, and written instructions
• Work with hand and power tools characteristic of the trade
• Learn and perform advance and skilled facilities maintenance repairs
• Learn and operate heavy equipment; mowing equipment, bobcat, forklift, portable light towers, illuminated

directional signs, portable generators and pressure washing equipment, Gradal

• Lift, push, pull, move or carry over 50 pounds, and climb ladders
• Work in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations
• Takes appropriate action to ensure safety of themselves and others in work area
• Use best practices for operating ladders and other apparatus
