\n ABOUT OUR DEPARTMENT at NCH \n

\n The 5th Floor Ortho/Med-Surg Women's unit is an all private room 32 bed unit at our North Naples campus that provides care to adults who are hospitalized with a wide variety of conditions, including general medical, orthopedics and women's health. Our caregivers also prepare patients for surgical procedures and provide post-surgical care required until the time of discharge.\n

\n JOB SUMMARY \n
\n
\n The Registered Nurse independently plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care in patient care situations using standards of care, policy, and procedure. Provides direct nursing care to patients, assumes teaching and leadership responsibilities. Participates in shared decision making, unit committee and quality improvement activities. Needs minimal supervision. \n
\n
\n ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES \n

\n EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS \n
\n
\n Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida.\n
\n
\n Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.\n
\n
\n All new to practice RN will be placed into the RN Residency Program.\n
\n
\n Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows\n
