Manager Of Field Services, Site Management
Our client is seeking a Manager of Field Services, Site Management to lead the planning and execution of field site activities for hydroelectric projects. This position is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to established quality requirements.
The Manager will oversee site management personnel, establish field execution procedures, support project staffing, monitor field performance, and provide leadership to Site Managers and Supervisors.
Responsibilities include overseeing the execution of field service activities across assigned projects, developing and maintaining standard processes, procedures, and tools for planning and executing field site activities, ensuring field operations comply with technical requirements and applicable legal and regional regulations, identifying, hiring, assigning, coaching, and managing Site Managers and Supervisors, ensuring project sites are properly staffed according to project execution plans, overseeing timekeeping and compensation processes for field labor and supervisory personnel, establishing qualification requirements and coordinating necessary training initiatives, monitoring and improving safety, quality, and overall performance at project sites, supporting field activity planning and the implementation of standardized planning systems and tools, ensuring work procedures and quality plans are available and followed, monitoring project costs, identifying potential risks, and implementing corrective actions, promoting best practices and lessons learned across field sites, supporting the implementation of site layouts, infrastructure, tooling, and fixtures, and overseeing site purchasing and sourcing activities.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, previous experience in a supervisory or management position, previous experience as a Site Manager or Supervisor on hydro turbine or generator projects, ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, project schedules, and budgets, strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to travel occasionally to field sites, ability to work in both office and active field site environments, ability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift, reach, stoop, or crouch, and ability to work safely in field environments that may have elevated noise levels.
