Full-Time, either 5-day, 8-hour shifts, or 4-day, 10-hour shifts.

Geneva Clinic

General Purpose: In order to ensure quality dental services, the Dental Hygienist assists the Dentist in providing dental care to patients.

Essential Duties/Position Responsibilities:

• Provides dental care to patients.
• Assesses patients' general dental condition and care needs.
• Conducts oral cancer screening exams and x-rays.
• Offers practical suggestions to patients to ensure proper oral hygiene.
• Performs routine oral hygiene maintenance procedures and applications for damage prevention.
• Works with dental staff to sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
• Collaborates with dental staff to evaluate patient medical chart information as it relates to dental.
• Documents updated patient data on EMR system related to dental procedures.
• Enters patient health data into the electronic medical records system (EMR) database.

Non-Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Attends all staff meetings and all other meetings as assigned.
• Participates in continuing education courses for most current dental industry information.

Education and Experience:

• Certification or eligible for certification as a dental hygienist from an accredited dental school program.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Previous experience working as a dental hygienist in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Active BLS/CPR certification.

• Ability to interact positively and build rapport with patients, coworkers and/or external contacts.
• Ability to work independently and organize work in a manner that ensures accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to work from procedure manuals.
• Ability to demonstrate the capability to effectively and sensitively respond to the needs and concerns of the full range of STRIDE's diverse patient population.
• Customer service skills, including the ability to diffuse upset patients.
• Skill in using a variety of computer software including but not limited to the internet and MS Office Products.
• Ability to handle sensitive information ethically and responsibly.
• Ability to protect the confidentiality of patients, employees and business information.

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,800 - $120,200 depending on your experience.

Tools you'll use General dental instruments and equipment, x-ray technology, computer, printer, multi-line telephone systems, fax machine, copy machine, and all Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and the internet.

Working Environment and Physical Activities: Office environment within a clinical setting. Enters data into computer programs via use of EMR database system, mouse and keyboard. Moves about the office environment and occasionally to other locations. Moves/transports objects up to 25lbs occasionally. Communicates information to others. Discerns/analyzes information from others to assist in decision making.
