Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

ER Registered Nurse

Shift format: 48-hour shifts approved; weekends required, more than every other weekend may be scheduled

Requirements:

• Must have recent ER/trauma or large teaching hospital experience
• 2 years of experience preferred; 1 year acceptable
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC*, PMAB Training*
• Epic experience required for submission

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct triage and assessment of patients in the emergency department
• Manage care for trauma and high-acuity patients
• Perform airway management and care for ventilated patients
• Administer procedural sedation and monitor patients
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and IV drips
• Adhere to isolation precautions and use of PPE

Compliance / Notes:

• Must have a vehicle for this assignment
• Background checks and credential verification are required
• Requested time off: 6 days total, or 3 consecutive days auto-approved; additional days require approval
• Scrub color: Any color allowed (specific scrubs provided for different departments)
