Position Summary The Clinical Advisor position is an exciting opportunity for pharmacists to leverage their clinical expertise in a client-facing role. This role will support the management of a large custom client with commercial and EGWP business. You will utilize your clinical and analytical skills within a managed care environment to positively impact the health of plan members while also helping to reduce healthcare costs. Your role will involve serving as the clinical subject matter expert on the account team, providing clinical consulting services by analyzing drug utilization patterns and trends for our Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) clients. In this role, you will be focusing on the clinical aspects of clients' benefit plans, as well as ensuring client prescription drug formularies and clinical benefits are set up and maintained efficiently. Your success will be measured by maintaining above-average client satisfaction scores and contributing to the account team's ability to increase client revenue through clinical programs and solutions. You will also act as a liaison with internal teams and other clinicians to support clinical programs on behalf of the client, ensuring that results are achieved. Superior analytical, writing, and organizational skills, along with the ability to meet tight deadlines, will be essential for your success in this position. The contributions you make as a Clinical Advisor will position CVS Health for long-term growth in the competitive PBM marketplace. This position can be located anywhere in the United States, with the flexibility to work remotely or in a corporate hub location. You must be willing to travel up to 5-10% of the time. Responsibilities
- Serve as the clinical subject matter expert on the clinical account team
- Leverage your analytical skills to provide clinical consulting services
- Active pharmacist license that is in good standing in state of residence
- Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft applications, especially Excel,
- Excellent presentation and oral/written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in Formulary and Utilization Management within PBM
- Commitment to client service and relationship building
- Knowledge of PBM adjudication engines and other systems leveraged in support
- Working knowledge of the different drug compendia adopted in PBM work
- Strong business acumen
- Experience in a client-facing role
- Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize, and resolve complex
