Alan Pardee for Congress is seeking motivated and outgoing individuals to join our field team as Paid Political Petitioners. In this role, you will engage directly with voters to build support for the campaign and collect the signatures required to secure ballot access. Petitioners serve as a key public-facing representative of the campaign.

Location: New York City, NY (in-person)

Compensation: $25/hour (temporary contract)

Hours: Approximately 3-hour shifts, flexible scheduling

Reports To: Field Director

Overview

Alan Pardee for Congress is seeking motivated and outgoing individuals to join our field team as Paid Political Petitioners. In this role, you will engage directly with voters to build support for the campaign and collect the signatures required to secure ballot access. Petitioners serve as a key public-facing representative of the campaign.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage voters face-to-face in high-traffic public locations.
• Clearly communicate campaign messaging and the purpose of the petition effort.
• Collect legally valid petition signatures in compliance with all applicable election laws and campaign procedures.
• Ensure all petition sheets are completed accurately and legibly.
• Meet or exceed daily and weekly signature goals.
• Submit completed petition sheets and activity reports to the Field Director on a daily basis.
• Attend required trainings and team meetings to stay aligned on campaign goals and best practices.

Qualifications

• Registered Democrat in New York State.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfortable initiating conversations with members of the public.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Able to stand and work outdoors for extended periods.
• Detail-oriented and capable of following compliance guidelines.
• Previous experience in petitioning, canvassing, outreach, sales, or customer service is preferred but not required.
