Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Insurance Agent role based in Ankeny, IA. The Insurance Agent will meet with prospective and existing clients to assess coverage needs, explain policy options, and recommend appropriate insurance solutions across auto, home, life, and other product lines. Daily responsibilities include preparing quotes, processing applications, managing renewals, and handling policy changes and documentation. The role involves responding to inquiries, resolving service issues, and maintaining accurate client records in agency systems. The Insurance Agent will also engage in local networking and outreach, follow up on leads, and collaborate with agency colleagues to achieve sales and service goals while adhering to regulatory and company guidelines. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Insurance and Insurance Brokerage, with the ability to explain coverage options and policy details clearly. Proven Insurance Sales experience, including prospecting, consultative selling, and closing new business. Understanding of Finance principles relevant to premiums, deductibles, and risk assessment. Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on building long-term client relationships and managing inquiries professionally. State insurance producer license (or eligibility to obtain within required timeframe). Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and over phone/email. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when handling documentation and client records. Comfort with using agency management software, basic office tools, and digital communication platforms. Prior experience in personal lines or commercial insurance is preferred but not required.
