Position Title: Sr. Integration Engineer – ESB Developer (MuleSoft and IBM ACE)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Integration Engineer to join our Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint and IBM ACE/IIB , along with a strong background in building scalable service integrations. This role requires active participation across all phases of the SDLC, supporting integration projects, product enhancements, and production environments. The successful candidate will be a collaborative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop complex ESB integrations and APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint and IBM ACE/IIB platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, developers, analysts, and product managers to deliver integration solutions
• Support the full SDLC process including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and support
• Lead customer onboarding and integration solution deployments
• Provide ongoing production support, troubleshoot and resolve ESB performance issues
• Migrate integration functionality from MuleSoft to IBM ACE
• Enhance and maintain existing ESB solutions and participate in product roadmap planning
• Utilize messaging technologies such as IBM MQ and related tools
• Apply best practices for development, version control, testing, and peer code reviews
• Work in AWS environments , with a focus on integration scalability, security, and monitoring
• Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and knowledge sharing among team members

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience designing and developing service bus integrations with MuleSoft and IBM IIB/ACE
• Strong understanding of IBM MQ or similar messaging systems
• 2+ years of experience with application servers and relational databases such as Oracle or Amazon RDS
• Proven production support experience with a strong customer service mindset
• Experience analyzing business requirements and converting them into technical specifications
• Ability to integrate systems with diverse security technologies
• Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with SDLC best practices, including version control (e.g., Git), peer reviews, and Agile methodologies
• Experience working independently and as part of a team, with the judgment to escalate risks appropriately
• Experience with AWS cloud computing

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint 4.0+ and RAML
• Experience with Web Services , REST/SOAP , and programming in Java , .NET , or ESQL
• Hands-on with ODBC/JDBC , service registry, and API gateway implementation
• Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices
• Skilled in automated deployments across various environments
• Comfortable working with Unix/Linux scripting , code analysis tools, and performance monitoring
• Knowledge of collaboration and project tools like JIRA, Confluence, ALM, Subversion, MS Teams
• Functional and non-functional testing experience
