Assistant Property Manager - Madison Heights

Madison Heights is a 143-unit affordable housing community featuring LIHTC, HOME, & HTF homes and we're looking for an Assistant Property Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment. What You’ll Do: Support day-to-day operations of the community while partnering closely with the Property Manager Lease apartments in compliance with LIHTC, HOME, Fair Housing, and company policies Conduct tours, manage applications, leases, renewals, and resident follow-up Build strong relationships with residents, prospects, vendors, and community partners Assist with compliance paperwork, annual certifications, and coordination with the Compliance team Manage rent collection activities, resident notices, service requests, and general administrative tasks Support budgeting activities, invoice coding, vendor coordination, and basic financial processes Assist with move‑ins, move‑outs, evictions, and court‑related documentation as needed What You’ll Bring: Three or more years of leasing or assistant property management experience Working knowledge of affordable housing programs and compliance requirements preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Comfort handling administrative tasks, financial processes, and confidential information Ability to build rapport with a diverse resident population Driver's License and an insurable driving record Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends during peak leasing periods Compensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly pay starting at $23 to $25/hour Medical, dental, and vision insurance to keep you and your family covered 401(k) with a 6% company match to help you invest in your future 18 days of PTO plus 11.5 paid holidays so you can recharge Paid parental leave and disability coverage for added peace of mind Career growth opportunities, training, and long‑term stability with a growing organization If you’re ready to make an impact in an affordable housing community and grow your career with a company that values people and purpose, we’d love to hear from you.
