Travel ICU Nurse

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Travel ICU Registered Nurse to join the Intensive Care Unit at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. This fast-paced ICU handles high-acuity medical, surgical, and cardiac patients , and requires a nurse experienced in managing complex, critical-care situations. If you are a strong ICU RN with experience in ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and rapid clinical decision-making, this assignment is an excellent fit. Key Responsibilities Provide bedside care to critically ill patients Manage ventilators, airway equipment, and complex drips Perform frequent assessments, hemodynamic monitoring, and documentation Respond to rapid response and code situations Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and multidisciplinary teams Administer medications and manage central lines, A-lines, and chest tubes Follow ICU best practices, sepsis protocols, and unit policies Requirements Active RN License (Virginia or Compact License) 2+ years recent ICU experience (required) BLS & ACLS required NIHSS preferred Experience with: ✔ Ventilator management ✔ Drip titration (pressors, sedation, insulin, etc.) ✔ Cardiac monitoring ✔ High-acuity ICU patient care Travel experience preferred but not required #J-18808-Ljbffr
