Job Description
Position Overview\n
Join our dedicated team at Mentalis Health and Wellness as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health services to a diverse community. This full-time position allows for remote work, providing you the flexibility to deliver care from a location that suits you best. With a competitive salary range of $80,000.00 - $90,000 per year plus benefits, you will be compensated for your expertise and commitment to enhancing the lives of your patients.
About the Organization\nMentalis Health and Wellness is committed to transforming mental health care in Sacramento, California. Our community health clinic supports a mission-driven approach to empowering individuals and families facing mental health challenges. We prioritize equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive care, reflecting the diverse backgrounds of our client population.
Work Environment\nThis position is fully remote, which means you can provide therapy from the comfort of your home while effectively managing your schedule. The work setting fosters a collaborative environment with access to administrative support – we manage billing, scheduling, and client intake processes, allowing you to focus entirely on providing therapeutic support and conducting meaningful client sessions. Our culture values not only clinical excellence but also clinician well-being, encouraging a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough intake assessments to understand each client's unique situation and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their needs. \n
- Provide culturally competent and trauma-informed therapy to individuals, couples, and families, working through various mental health challenges and life transitions. \n
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, case managers, and peer support advocates to deliver cohesive and integrated care. \n
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation of client interactions within our secure electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with industry standards. \n
- Engage in regular clinical supervision and participate in optional peer consultation groups to enhance professional development and therapeutic techniques. \n
- Commit to ongoing learning opportunities through in-house training and continuing education units (CEUs), ensuring that you remain at the forefront of effective therapeutic practices. \n
Your practice will involve working with a diverse clientele experiencing a broad range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and other significant mental health concerns. By employing evidence-based practices and culturally sensitive approaches, you will help clients navigate their challenges and support their journey toward emotional and relational wellness.
Qualifications\n- \n
- Possession of an active LMFT license in the state of California. Pre-licensed Marriage and Family Therapists under supervision may also be considered. \n
- Proven experience of at least two years in outpatient mental health settings, focusing on couples therapy or family systems. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a penchant for organization and thorough documentation. \n
- A demonstrated passion for promoting equity and providing culturally responsive care, underscoring our commitment to the diverse populations we serve. \n
- A commitment to ethical practices in all aspects of client care and a desire for continuous professional development. \n
- Self-motivated and organized, capable of effectively managing a flexible caseload independently while maintaining high standards of care. \n
- \n
- Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). \n
- Experience working with marginalized communities and an understanding of the systemic issues impacting mental health in underserved populations. \n
- A proactive approach to building therapeutic relationships and enhancing the client experience through empathetic engagement. \n
- \n
- Enjoy the benefits of a flexible remote work environment, allowing you to create a schedule that supports your lifestyle while managing patient care. \n
- Competitive compensation structure with per-session rates and opportunities for incentive pay, rewarding your dedication and expertise. \n
- Extensive administrative support, so you can focus on providing high-quality therapy rather than being bogged down by paperwork. \n
- Access to CEU opportunities and peer consultation to enhance your skills and foster professional growth. \n
- A variety of wellness initiatives and collaborative team-building activities that contribute to a supportive culture. \n
At Mentalis Health and Wellness, we are dedicated to your professional growth. With opportunities for advanced training, mentorship programs, and involvement in special projects, you can cultivate new skills, expand your expertise, and elevate your career in mental health.
