About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ALS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - L&D experience (2+ years) - High risk experience - Immediate newborn care Description: This position is in a Labor and Delivery unit with 16 beds. The unit has a staff of 120. Staff types include charge nurses, patient care technicians, surgical technicians, and registered nurses. Patient ratios are 1:1 to 1:2. Equipment used includes Baxter Pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring. The electronic medical record system is Cerner with fetal ink. Candidates should be outgoing, friendly, and adaptable. Common procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hyst. Preferred qualifications include circulating experience. Weekends and on-call shifts may be available upon approval.
