Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This onsite Math and Reading role focuses on serving a caseload of 2–12 students in grades 6–8, creating positive impacts in both academic growth and life skills development. The assignment spans from August to May, offering the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, implement effective IEPs, and work closely with a supportive school community.

Key Requirements:

• Valid and active Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility in Georgia)
• Demonstrated experience or strong knowledge in both Math and Reading instruction for grades 6–8
• Familiarity with developing, executing, and managing IEPs for diverse learners
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational abilities, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusive education

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and academic interventions in Math and Reading to students with varying abilities
• Modify curriculum and teaching strategies to tailor learning experiences to individual student needs
• Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers to foster an inclusive classroom environment
• Monitor progress, collect relevant data, and regularly communicate student growth with parents and faculty
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Foster a safe, respectful, and positive classroom culture
