Job Summary: Responsible for the Quality Management systems. Interfaces with both internal and external customers, to ensure that quality expectations are met. Required Qualifications:Community College courses in Quality related disciplineMinimum 3 - 4 years experience in similar roleThrough knowledge of blue print reading and interpretation of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing Proficient in the use of measuring equipment (i.e. venires, micrometer, height gauges, profile projector, etc.)Proficient in Microsoft officeHigh level of time managementCritical Success Factors:Excellent attendance Ability to interact with the Management Team in a professional manner to continually enhance the company's performance Desire to learn the business, understand the production process by walking the floor, and participating in production meetingsA complete hands on approach is required to assist the plant in developing into a successful and profitable division of NanoXploreAbility to work independently without supervision and with minimum directionAbility to work in a team environment and be both a team player and team leaderAbility to manage and direct subordinates on the day-to-day tasks in a fast paced environment Ability to mentor and guide subordinates to achieve overall departmental goals and objectives Respecting and understanding of the Customer/Supplier relationshipAdopt a common sense approach to identifying and addressing problems and control weaknesses Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee or their co-workers placed in an unsafe conditionExperience with plastic mold for transportation industry an assetResponsibilities:Responsible for trouble shooting root cause analysis, SPC data analysis, implementation and maintain up to date documentations related to APQP documentation Conduct and where necessary, lead in the improvement of capability studies and gauge R & R analysisCreating quality documents in compliance with the company's quality system manual and quality system standardsParticipate and coordinate the Team Oriented Problem Solving (corrective and preventive actions)Participate and coordinate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)Coordinate and responsible for PPAP submissions within specified timeframeTo review and make recommendations for the disposition of non-conforming/suspect products in a timely manner and ensure formal corrective actions are answered within customers guidelinesContribute and assist in variability reduction, process improvement and continuous improvement To notify internal and external customers of potential problems and make recommendations for resolutionsContribute and participate in the Quality System and the Environmental System to meet customer requirements and the international standardsMaintain SPC charts and ensure that SPC points are within capability range or initiate action to bring back into rangeContributes to successful project completion by participating in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, safety concerns, unsuitability of standard material and difficult coordination requirementsCoordinates project activities with other department's personnel to facilitate participation of appropriate staff in project completionReview project related documentation to ensure its accuracyEnsure time management is executed in the completion of all projects/ dutiesAssist with the needs of the customer in internal functions in addressing quality system requirementsTracking customer satisfaction measurables and communicate to appropriate personnel and/or management
