Job Opportunity at Avera Spencer Clinic

Join our team at Avera Spencer Clinic as a Physician Assistant (PA). This position requires a licensed and qualified professional to practice in the state based on job assignment. You will also need to meet federal drug enforcement requirements and be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, occasionally Saturday, with a 72-hour work period every two weeks.

At Avera, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on moving health forward for our patients. You will provide appropriate medical care by assessing physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients to develop a plan of care.

Key responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients according to medical staff protocols, providing medical services and health education, consulting and collaborating with physicians, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, interpreting diagnostic information, ensuring appropriate referrals, maintaining patient records, and practicing according to approved protocols.

Essential qualifications include being able to work specified hours, having visual acuity, and effective communication skills. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.

Required education and certifications include being a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP), meeting federal drug enforcement requirements, and holding an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
