Job Details Position: Dental Assistant – Instructor – Part Time – Mornings Company: Ross Education Holdings, Inc. Location: Roosevelt Park, MI 49441 Campus‑based position; works year‑round. About the Role Ross Education Holdings, Inc. is a non‑profit secondary education organization providing training to students who aspire to become health care professionals. We are seeking experienced Dental Assistants to become fully trained instructors for our year‑round Dental Assisting courses. Dental Assistant Instructor Duties Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10–20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills. Learn the material and deliver lectures and demonstrations using the Ross lesson plans and curriculum. Conduct class sessions of 4.5 hours, scheduled either day or evening. Work part‑time, typically 9–18 hours per week. Qualifications 3+ years’ experience in the field and a national certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA from AMT) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA from DANB) plus formal training in a dental assisting program like Ross; if you do not have the formal education, you qualify with 5+ years’ experience and a national certification (*additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements). Interest in teaching or prior experience. Must be flexible and passionate about learning and growth. Campus Staff Requirements Sufficient ability to stand for extended periods of time, move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and facilitate student participation. Sufficient visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, use white board and use classroom/office equipment. Ability to use current technology to maintain student records. Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings. Knowledge of materials (subjects) taught to students and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum. Ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced work environment. Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames. Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor. Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics. Ability to travel to clinical sites or other meetings (for Clinical Coordinators). Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum is preferred.
