Mental Health Clinician

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking a Part-time Mental Health Clinician at an independent school in Washington D.C. Our mission is to help educators find roles where they can truly thrive. We have positions nationwide and internationally. Provide individual (and potentially group) evidence-based psychotherapy for school-aged clients, during the school day and after school Consult and collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other mental health providers. Preferred hours are 10 AM to 6 PM, 2 days per week. Clinical supervision can be provided if needed for licensure. Professional development opportunities are available. DC Licensed mental health professional (license-eligible will be considered) PSYPACT or Social Work Licensure Compact is a plus. 2+ years of experience providing therapy or counseling to children and adolescents, ideally those with learning differences. Experience in schools, and/or with children with learning differences, preferred. Experience with IEP documentation and special education regulations, preferred. Knowledge of Google Workspace (e.g., Gmail, Drive, Docs). Excellent interpersonal, written language, and communication skills. Strong skill and interest in supporting students from a perspective of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Collaborative work skills.
