Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality nursing care to labor and postpartum patients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Support the delivery process, monitor patient conditions, and ensure safety and comfort for mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities:

Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health during labor and postpartum periods.
Collaborate with OB and pediatric providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate charting using Paragon, Obix, and Epic systems.
Ensure patient safety by adhering to staffing ratios, including 1:1 during labor and up to 3:1 postpartum.
Prepare and assist with deliveries, ensuring clinical protocols are followed.
Cross-train in OB and nursery duties; float to other units as needed.

Qualifications:

Valid Nursing License (RN).
Minimum of 2 years of obstetric nursing experience preferred.
Strong skills in labor, delivery, and postpartum patient care.
Proficiency with charting systems such as Paragon, Obix, and Epic.
Ability to work 7p-7a shifts, including holidays and peak months (May-July).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a close-knit unit.
