Trust & Estates Paralegal

About the Company: A highly regarded, New York-based boutique law firm is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join its growing private client practice. Known for its integrated and highly personalized approach, the firm partners closely with clients to deliver practical, tax-efficient solutions across a wide range of matters, including cross-border structuring, family governance, succession planning, and regulatory compliance. The team is often viewed as an extension of its clients’ inner circle, providing thoughtful, strategic counsel and serving as long-term trusted advisors. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated, high touch matters within a collaborative environment that prioritizes quality, precision, and enduring client relationships. Responsibilities: Assist attorneys in preparing complex estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives Draft and review estate administration documents and probate court filings Conduct legal research on estate law, tax implications, and trust regulations Maintain and organize confidential client files Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and court personnel Coordinate estate asset inventories and valuations Assist with estate and gift tax planning and compliance Prepare and submit probate filings and court documents Prepare trust accountings and support ongoing trust administration Qualifications: 3+ years of experience as a Trusts & Estates Paralegal at a law firm Strong knowledge of New York estate planning and probate procedures Experience preparing probate petitions across NY Surrogate’s Courts Understanding of full estate administration lifecycle, including asset transfers and distributions Experience with trust administration and accountings Exposure to estate and gift tax return preparation Proficiency with legal research tools and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Professional demeanor with strong written and verbal communication skills Schedule: Hybrid (4 days in-office with WFH on Fridays) Compensation: Competitive base salary + flexible bonus structure (depending on experience) Environment: Collaborative, high-touch, and growth-oriented #J-18808-Ljbffr SR Staffing
