Job Description
The Restaurant Line Cook plays a crucial role in food preparation and cooking within a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsible for delivering high-quality dishes by efficiently managing cooking processes, maintaining cleanliness, and collaborating with the kitchen team. This role typically reports to the Kitchen Manager or Head Chef, working daily shifts with Sundays off, using standard kitchen tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
- Plate dishes with attention to presentation and quality control
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and kitchen areas
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Stock supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet service demands
- Comply with safety and hygiene regulations
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in restaurant kitchen operations
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in food preparation and knife skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Strong time management and teamwork abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure
