About the Position

Job Title

Oncology IV Room Coordinator – Cancer Center Pharmacy

New Bern, NC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (Temp-to-Hire); Full-Time; Onsite; Days – 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:00–17:00)

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate oncology IV room operations within a Cancer Center Pharmacy setting
• Utilize the pharmacy computer system to accurately process and manage medication orders
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the disease and age of patients served
• Assess patient data and interpret information to identify individual patient requirements relative to age and specific needs
• Follow Cancer Center and IV Admixture Department policies and procedures
• Maintain availability for call-back shifts as needed outside of regularly scheduled hours

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program
• Current pharmacist licensure in the state of practice (pending licensure will be considered; active license preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience
• Ability to learn and operate pharmacy computer systems proficiently following a training period
• Demonstrated knowledge of growth and development principles across the life span

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior Cancer Center or oncology pharmacy experience highly preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
• Familiarity with IV admixture preparation and oncology medication protocols
