Contract | Full-Time | 12-Hour Day Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn settings within a unit averaging approximately 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month
• Support Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) practices, including rooming-in care for mothers and newborns
• Serve as charge nurse on an occasional basis following completion of charge nurse training
• Maintain flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Float to other departments as needed, which may include taking a patient load if experienced and competent in that setting, or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care; additional experience may be required in some cases
• American Heart Association BLS required
• American Heart Association ACLS or ALSO required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required; RNC-EFM may be substituted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience serving as a charge nurse in an OB/L&D setting
• Familiarity with Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) standards and practices
• Experience floating across multiple departments within a hospital environment
