Position:   Janitor / Custodial / Housekeeping

Location:   Seattle (University District)

Schedule:   Thursday through Monday 10:45pm-6:45am

Pay:  $21.30/hr.

 ***This is a temporary position to support a  vacancy.***

Join our team! Since 1983, Express Employment Professionals has been helping people find work. We currently have a Janitor position available at a client in the University District neighborhood of Seattle.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of common areas and offices, including the lobby, restrooms, stairwells, hallways, and model/vacant apartments.
• Wash, dry, fold, and return laundry for the community and residents.
• Keep common areas, restrooms, and laundry carts stocked with supplies.
• Clean interior windows and fixtures.
• Set up the dining room, including updating menus, arranging tables correctly, and keeping furnishings clean.
• Set up for special events.
• Communicate with staff and provide backup support as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred
• Able to perform routine and deep cleaning of common areas, restrooms, and workspaces
• Comfortable handling cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment safely
• Strong attention to detail and sanitation standards
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and effective working independently or as part of a team
• Good verbal communication skills
