Nursing Supervisor

Role The Nursing Supervisor oversees administrative and patient care functions within Nursing Services, coordinating staffing, admissions, transfers, and discharges during assigned shifts. They act within delegated authority to ensure quality care and compliance with policies, providing direct nursing care when necessary. Responsibilities Collaborate with leadership to set goals, recommend improvements, evaluate staffing needs, and resolve operational issues related to patient flow. They analyze nursing service problems, suggest updates to procedures, and make budgetary recommendations to enhance efficiency and care quality. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an approved nursing program or BSN per policy North Carolina RN licensure, BCLS, ACLS, and CPI certifications (CPI within 1 year) Specialty certifications such as CEN, RN-BC, PCCN, or NE-BC preferred Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience Key Duties Manage staffing patterns, coordinate communication for admissions/discharges, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide nursing care as needed within scope.
