Job Description As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Shreveport, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, maintain a visible presence, and help support a secure environment for employees and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $12.75 / Hour Weekly Pay Job Schedule: DayTimeMon11:00 PM - 07:00 AMTue11:00 PM - 07:00 AMWed11:00 PM - 07:00 AMThur11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSun11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor entry records, and report access discrepancies according to site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when required. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, utility operations areas, buildings, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site. Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and access-control documentation in accordance with site requirements. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
