As a Security Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming experience through professional communication, customer service, and computer or tablet-based reporting. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations and relevant details to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Document incidents, access-control activity, and patrol observations accurately, and support a professional, service-oriented environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
