Schedule/Shift

Days, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 4x10 hour shifts, call required (1 weekday per week minimum, weekend rotation).

Job Description

The Surgical Technologist will perform essential tasks in the Operating Room, including preparation of the operating room, managing the sterile field, and assisting surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during procedures. Experience in a variety of surgical specialties, including general, ortho, OBGYN, podiatry, urology, plastics, endo, trauma, and robotics (DaVinci) is required. This position involves working with both adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field and instruments during surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and surgical staff by passing instruments, fluids, and other supplies as needed.
• Perform sponge and instrument counts to prevent retained objects.
• Manage surgical equipment and ensure readiness for procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Experience in various surgical specialties including but not limited to general, ortho, OBGYN, podiatry, urology, plastics, endo, trauma, and robotics (DaVinci).
• Experience with both adult and pediatric patient populations.

Certifications/Licensure

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
• BLS certification required.
