Work Environment

As part of our onsite services in a hospital setting, you will collaborate closely with licensed Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and administrative staff. Our Orthopedic unit is designed with patient comfort in mind, featuring advanced therapeutic equipment to assist in effective rehabilitation. Your work schedule will typically be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by licensed Physical Therapists, ensuring each patient's needs are met comprehensively.
• Provide direct hands-on therapy, including therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modality applications, to help patients regain strength and mobility.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment protocols as required to align with evolving patient needs.
• Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and rehabilitation instructions to empower them in their recovery process.
• Engage in regular collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians and rehabilitation specialists, to promote comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with organizational standards and health regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your ability to provide compassionate care and effective support will be critical in fostering a positive rehabilitation journey for each individual.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a closely related field is required.
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) state license.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in an orthopedic setting is essential.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, contributing to effective communication and treatment planning.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate interactions with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, enhancing the efficiency of documentation and patient tracking.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practice methodologies, ensuring the delivery of current and effective rehabilitation techniques.

Compensation and Benefits
