Store Manager

Role Overview Responsible for managing store employees, overseeing all store processes including ordering, stocking, presentation, sales, staffing, and support. Key Duties Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. Conduct performance reviews, address gaps, and make recommendations for pay and advancement. Communicate expectations on performance, conduct, safety, and policies regularly. Manage store opening and closing, personal involvement at least twice weekly for each task. Analyze operating statements to identify trends, control expenses, and prevent shrinkage. Ensure adequate inventory levels, manage ordering, and oversee merchandise presentation and signage. Maintain accurate inventory, control damages, markdowns, and ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and security practices. Lead customer service excellence, maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment. Ensure compliance with policies, complete documentation, and provide necessary tools for staff. Qualifications & Skills Ability to interpret operational documents, perform mathematical calculations, and manage cash handling procedures. Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and safety policies. Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, and problem-solving skills. Experience in retail management preferred; high school diploma or equivalent recommended. Bilingual abilities may be preferred at certain locations. Physical & Working Conditions Frequent walking, standing, bending, and handling merchandise. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 pounds.
