Linux Device Driver Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, write, maintain, and debug Linux kernel drivers and low-level software for camera and sensor hardware.
• Develop software communicating with devices over CAN, UART, I2C, SPI, MIPI CSI, and other interfaces.
• Bring up hardware platforms through BSP development, device-tree configuration, and kernel or bootloader integration.
• Build and maintain embedded Linux distributions using Yocto and BitBake, including custom layers and recipes.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to define driver requirements and troubleshoot hardware/software interactions.
• Perform low-level debugging, performance analysis, and systems-level software engineering.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of hands-on Linux kernel or device driver development experience is preferred; new graduates with relevant coursework or project experience are invited to apply.
• Working experience with the Linux kernel, kernel modules, and driver development.
• Strong working experience with C; C++ and/or Rust experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with device tree, U-Boot, or other bootloader and BSP concepts is preferred.
• Experience with Yocto, BitBake, or similar embedded Linux build systems is preferred.
• Working knowledge of revision control and code review tools such as Git.
• Experience manipulating GPIO and working with embedded Linux hardware platforms.
• Ability to read schematics and data sheets and debug hardware at the register or bus level.
• Must be a U.S. Person.
