Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nurse Specialty: Staff Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 pm to 7 am) Experience: 6 months to 3 years of nursing experience License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: - Nursing experience of six (6) months to three (3) years - Collaboration and communication skills (verbal and written) - Judgement and critical thinking abilities - Strong organizational and planning skills - Problem-solving skills - Reliability and commitment to safety Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. The RN focuses on the prevention of illness and injury and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human responses. Advocacy in the care of individuals and families is a vital responsibility. The RN is accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development according to the relevant regulations and policies. This role promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a group of patients. The RN serves as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse, as designated by unit assignments. Patient and family education in health promotion and disease management is essential. A working knowledge of pharmacology is utilized to safely administer medications. The RN shares responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization, including staffing and time management. Compliance with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements is expected. Active participation and support of improvement initiatives are encouraged. Engagement in professional development and mandatory education requirements is important. The RN integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. Providing a supportive learning environment for new employees and students is key. The RN will perform other duties as assigned.
