Facility: Northwest Medical Center
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $42/hour

About the Role

Northwest Medical Center is seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a night shift contract assignment. You’ll provide high-quality care to newborns and premature infants in a Level III NICU , collaborating closely with neonatologists and multidisciplinary care teams.

This role is ideal for compassionate nurses who are confident in high-acuity neonatal settings and are comfortable supporting both NICU and postpartum care when needed.

Requirements

All of the following are required:

• Active AZ RN License

• NRP certification

• 3+ years of NICU experience

• Level III NICU experience

• Infant Driven Feeding Certificate

Preferred:

• STABLE certification

Responsibilities

• Attend high-risk and newborn deliveries

• Manage NICU admissions

• Start IVs and draw labs

• Provide ventilator care

• Deliver safe, evidence-based neonatal nursing in accordance with hospital policy

• Demonstrate leadership, delegation, and sound clinical judgment

When census is low: Nurses with postpartum (PP) experience may assist with newborn or couplet assignments .

• Number of Beds: 15

• Patient Ratio: 1:2 or 1:3 depending on acuity

• Scrub Color: Any color
