An Automotive Technician plays a key role as a team member within the repair shop, reporting directly to the shop manager. This role primarily involves diagnosing and repairing vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards in compliance with Pennsylvania state law. The technician works closely with customers and other team members to maintain high service quality without the need for travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle diagnostics to identify mechanical issues
• Conduct engine repairs and maintenance
• Maintain and repair brake systems
• Troubleshoot and fix electrical systems
• Repair suspension and steering components
• Interact with advisor to explain repairs and services
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Conduct quality checks on repaired vehicles
• Maintain and organize tools and equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level to tenured experience in automotive repair
• Technical certification in automotive technology
• Pennsylvania Inspection license preferred but not required
• Pennsylvania emissions license preferred but not required
• Proficiency in engine diagnostics, brake systems, and suspension/steering repairs
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Effective time management
