Director of Facilities - Retail & Corporate

Director of Facilities Full‑time, on‑site. Monday‑Friday. Immediate hire. Must be able to travel locally between sites as needed. Key Responsibilities Contribute to long‑range facilities plans, including capacity tracking, forecasting, and team needs assessments. Review and improve operational procedures to maximize space utilization, equipment use, and waste reduction. Assess contractors and supply vendors to balance sustainability, quality, and cost. Maintain current policies and procedures (e.g., preferred purchasing) and ensure clear management systems and reporting. Support the creation and maintenance of safety, security, and business continuity plans and related policies. Own occupancy and CAPEX budgets for corporate and retail facilities; lead annual budget planning and monthly reconciliation. Drive smart automation to efficiently scale and upskill the facilities function. Recruit, develop, and retain a high‑performing, service‑oriented, values‑aligned facilities team. Provide monthly performance reporting for executive visibility and proactive management. Manage day‑to‑day facility operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and functional workspace. Coordinate preventive maintenance, custodial services, building systems, machinery, parking, security, and related functions. Oversee the third‑party facilities management system (ServiceChannel) for retail store work requests and drive efficient completion. Lead the facilities coordinators/front desk team, mentor and motivate the team, and maintain a safe, healthy, and productive environment. Project‑manage requests for quotes, vendor selection, and oversight of corporate build‑outs or facility improvement projects. Support onboarding logistics for new hires, adjust desk layout and meeting spaces, and coordinate internal communication about operational changes. Ensure all site utilities are set up properly and audit utility analysis to guarantee efficient operations and building systems upkeep. Prepare accurate department reporting and budget reconciliations; support monthly corporate & retail OpEx reviews with Finance and look for cost optimization opportunities. Support new store openings as needed to facilitate turnover from Retail Development/GC to Retail Ops. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in facilities and/or office administration; retail, e‑commerce, or manufacturing experience preferred. Must be available Monday‑Friday, 8:30 AM‑5 PM, and be ready for emergencies that may arise, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Hands‑on, can‑do attitude; thrives on achievements and success. Start‑up experience or strong, demonstrable desire to work in a high‑growth environment. Excellent organizational skills; capable of managing time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast‑paced setting. Strong interpersonal skills; able to shift quickly between unrelated tasks. Customer/client focus and drive to make the workplace the best it can be. Highly professional, dependable, and approachable. Passionate about green building principles and practices; LEED credential or experience implementing sustainability projects is a big plus. Physical ability to handle tasks such as lifting and rearranging furniture. Ability to multi‑task and manage multiple projects concurrently. On‑site role; expected to be physically present five days a week. Must be able to travel locally between sites as needed. Compensation The anticipated base salary range is $140,000 – $165,000 plus 15% eligibility, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance, department goals, and individual contributions.
