Job Description

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure alignment on project goals and budgets.
• Obtain and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Monitor project costs and provide updates to stakeholders on budget performance and potential risks.
• Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs and maintain quality standards.
• Maintain a database of historical cost data to support future estimating efforts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator or Senior Estimator should have:

• A strong background in construction and property industry practices.
• Higher education, k12, municipal, hospitality, multifamily, office and related experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with estimating software and tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with diverse teams.
• A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and cost efficiency.
