Utility Associate

Welcome to Halperns Steak & Seafood! We are hiring a Utility Associate in Walton, KY. The position will assist in maintaining a clean, safe work environment and support production duties across multiple departments. Position Summary Performs general labor duties as needed to maintain a clean and safe work environment. Provides temporary assistance for miscellaneous production duties across various departments. Essential Functions Maintains a clean, neat, and safe work area, including disposal of packaging and cartons, sweeping, storage of extra material, and clean up of supplies. Serves as a backup for positions within the production department and provides temporary help in other departments. Ensures facility meets USDA and other food‑safety standards. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums, including hallways, stairs, and office spaces. Empties trash and garbage containers and clears debris from walkways. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to follow directions, standard procedures, and respond to instructions. Ability to solve routine problems of limited scope following established policies and procedures. Requires immediate perception of auditory warning signals (bells, alarms, horns, etc.) related to equipment operation. Can work independently and within a team environment. Proficient with powered industrial vehicle (PIV), vacuum cleaner, and other equipment. Compensation & Benefits Starting pay: $17.00 per hour, Monday–Friday, 6:00am to finish. Location Halperns has facilities in Atlanta (GA), Baltimore (MD), Orlando (FL), Fort Lauderdale (FL), Dallas (TX), Walton (KY), and Kalamazoo (MI). The Walton (KY) location is open for this role.
