Field Applications Engineer

Field Application EngineerOur client, a government contractor, is seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer to work as a liaison between their engineering team and the federal customer environment where their product is deployed. This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role that requires QA, validation, and system administration work. This position is 50% onsite at the client location in southern Maryland, and you will be required to obtain a security clearance. As such, only US Citizens can be considered for this role.ResponsibilitiesBe a primary day to day onsite support engineer for the production deployments (in and out of SCIF)Work with internal software engineering team to improve the product deployment and client experienceDesign and conduct software deployment testing and validation proceduresQualifications/Background ProfileExperience with DISA STIGsLinux System Administration (prefer RHEL)Experience with automation tools, such as Ansible, Bash, PythonExperience interfacing with technical and non-technical customers and stakeholdersExperience with on-prem and cloud environmentsAbility to read and analyze application logs to assess application healthThis job is Hybrid Remote.Pay Range: Salary $140,000.00 to $160,000.00We offer several comprehensive benefits package including health and life insurance, paid and unpaid time off, and retirement and savings plans to qualifying employees.Sparks Group is an equal opportunity employer.
