What's Your Day Like?

As a PACT Nurse Specialist at Cumberland County Guidance Center, you will play a pivotal role in our PACT Team, delivering intensive, community-based services to adults navigating serious mental illness. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive nursing assessmentsboth at program entry and annuallyto evaluate mental health symptoms and behaviors related to prescribed medications. You will meticulously monitor individuals for any side effects while enhancing their understanding of medication benefits and promoting compliance. Your organizational skills will shine as you oversee the monthly inventory of medications and medical supplies, while also preparing the medical agenda for the upcoming month.

In addition to managing medication orders and administration, you will provide supportive counseling and psychoeducation. This empowers individuals to master their symptoms and disabilities, making a profound difference in their lives while fostering resilience and independence in the community.

Requirements for This PACT Nurse Specialist Job

A valid New Jersey Registered Nurse's License or an Advanced Degree for Nursing Specialists is required, along with two years of experience working with individuals facing chronic mental illness. The role demands a willingness to embrace a flexible 40-hour schedule, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of clients.
