Pharmacist- Inpatient Hospital
$68 - $73 per hourSoliant Health
We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment at its 100-bed community hospital located in Mount Vernon, a northern suburb of New York City. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys working in a collaborative hospital environment and providing high-quality patient care alongside physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff. Qualified candidates should have recent inpatient hospital experience, strong clinical knowledge, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. An ASAP start is available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities- Verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians
- Consult with physicians and healthcare providers regarding medication therapy
- Perform pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
- Review patient profiles for medication safety and effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Participate in interdisciplinary patient care activities
- Assist with daily inpatient pharmacy operations
- Active and unrestricted New York Pharmacist License
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Positive attitude and team-oriented approach to patient care
- Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
- Experience with order verification and clinical pharmacy services
- Pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring experience strongly preferred
- Variable Day and Afternoon Shifts
- Full-time schedule
- 13-week contract assignment
- $68.00 - $73 per hour
- Pay rate determined by experience and qualifications
- Travel stipends available for qualified travelers residing 75+ miles from the facility
