Job Description Job Title : Chief Technology Officer Position Description : Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire Chief Technology Officer with our client that is fully remote. Job Description: The CTO will own technology strategy, architecture and engineering standards across the Group. This is a technical leadership role for someone who can operate across multiple businesses while remaining close to systems, architecture and engineering execution. Job Responsibilities:

- Own architecture and major technical decisions across group products and platforms.
- Review critical systems, architecture, infrastructure and code directly.
- Set engineering standards across reliability, security, performance, testing and code quality.
- Identify technical debt and architecture constraints and drive their resolution.
- Improve engineering productivity, development speed and production reliability.
- Decide where technology and infrastructure should be shared across Group businesses.
- Recruit and assess senior engineers, technical leads and engineering leaders.
- Deep software engineering background with experience building and scaling production systems.
- Strong knowledge of backend systems, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Experience making architecture decisions across multiple products or engineering teams.
- Strong technical judgement and ability to challenge engineering decisions at implementation level.
- Capable of building world-class engineering teams.
- Still technically hands-on - able to review code, architecture, incidents and difficult engineering problems directly.
