Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Behavioral Health position requiring 2+ years of psych experience and an active KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Behavioral Health unit setting
• Day shift schedule with a rotating 3x12 and 4x12 pattern (7:00-19:30)
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• 2+ years of current psychiatric nursing experience required
• AHA BLS certification required
• CPI or AVADE certification required
• Flu vaccine required (medical and religious exemptions reviewed case-by-case)
• Valid driver's license required, with address matching permanent address

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a behavioral health unit
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered if submitted upfront with no changes accepted
• Must work either a major or minor shift on every holiday
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Travelers previously employed at this facility must take a minimum 6-month break after one year of service before returning
• Two professional references required: one from a Charge nurse or higher and one from a supervisor, both completed within the last year
