Position Summary Scheduled Hours: 40 Position evaluates the disturbance of eye movements in patients with strabismus. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Receives and examines patients for strabismus evaluations. Informs parents on patient’s condition and explains course of treatment. Assists the teaching of strabismus evaluations to Residents. Assists the teaching of Orthoptic treatment to Residents. Initiates and collaborates in the ongoing clinical research, data collection and evaluation. Working Conditions Job Location/Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Physical Effort: Typically sitting at desk or table; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement. Equipment: Office equipment. Education Required Qualifications : Bachelor's degree Preferred Qualifications : No additional education unless stated elsewhere. Certifications / Professional Licenses Orthoptist - American Association of Certified Orthoptists, Orthoptist - Joint Commission of Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology. No additional certification/professional licenses unless stated elsewhere. Work Experience No specific work experience is required for this position. No additional work experience unless stated elsewhere. Skills Data Compilation, Eye Examinations, Medical Treatment, Teaching, Therapy Not Applicable Driver's License A driver's license is not required for this position. Grade C13 Salary Range $68,100.00 - $105,500.00 / Annually Benefits Personal Up to 22 days of vacation, 10 recognized holidays, and sick time.
