Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough skin examinations and document patients' medical histories.

• Identify and treat pigmented lesions (such as nevi and melanoma) along with other common dermatological issues, including acne, psoriasis, dandruff, athlete's foot, and skin cancer.

• Advise patients on preventive care, including annual skin checks, sun safety, skin cancer awareness, and self-examinations of the skin and lymph nodes.

• Conduct incisional biopsies for melanoma diagnosis and perform skin surgeries to enhance appearance, facilitate early diagnosis, or manage conditions like skin cancer.

• Prescribe suitable medical treatments, including hormonal agents, topical therapies, contraceptives, spironolactone, anti-androgens, oral corticosteroids, retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, and antibiotics.

• Administer treatments such as intralesional injections, chemical peels, and comedo extractions to address age spots, sun damage, rough or discolored skin, or oily skin.

• Suggest diagnostic tests based on patient histories and physical examination results.

• Assess patients for cosmetic procedures like liposuction, laser resurfacing, and microdermabrasion, and perform treatments as necessary.

• Stay updated on dermatology advancements through continuous education, literature review, and professional involvement.

• Collaborate with and refer patients to other specialists when required.

• Be available for late evening and weekend shifts as part of the regular scheduling rotation.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited residency program in Dermatology.

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.

• Possession of a valid New York Medical License.

Compensation and Benefits:

Annual Base Salary: $334,000* (for board eligible); $344,000* (for board certified), based on a 40-hour work week.

The estimated total annual compensation package is $367,400** (board eligible) and $378,400** (board certified), which encompasses the base salary, 401(k) contributions, and additional factors outlined below:

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS limits):

  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution based on base earnings, with no employee match required.

  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings, with no employee match required.

• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.

• Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) including vacation, sick leave, holidays, and CME days.

• Comprehensive Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Premium plans with employee contributions significantly lower than market rates.

• Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equivalent to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) at no cost to you.
