CoWorx Staffing is seeking 1st Shift Machinists/Grinders in the Fairfield, NJ area! The ideal candidate Machinist/Grinder operator will have 2+ years of relevant machine grinding experience. This is a Temp-to-Hire position! Pay: $25 to $32 per hour (based on experience) PTO and 10 paid Holidays a year $1,500 sign-on bonus

Responsibilities:

• Select appropriate machines, such as surface grinders, and position or load materials for production.
• Determine appropriate speed and feed rates.
• Operate multiple grinding machines simultaneously.
• Monitor machines during operation, adjusting feed, maintaining temperature, and identifying issues.

Desired Background/Skills:

• 2+ years of experience working with close tolerances on grinding equipment.
• Experience using and setting manual, semi-automated, or automated tools and machines, including lathes and grinders.
• Ability to use precision tools such as micrometers and indicators to take accurate measurements.
• Knowledge of the properties of ceramic materials is a plus.
