FLSA Status: Exempt POSITIONSUMMARY: The Community Health and QualityManager supports the development, coordination, and continuous improvement ofcommunity-based health and wellness programming across the University andthroughout surrounding priority communities. The Duquesne University Center forIntegrative Health's (DUCIH) Bridges to Health (B2H) Program advances acommunity-engaged health model focused on addressing data-driven and community-identifiedpriorities through interdisciplinary collaboration, evidence-based programming,and sustainable partnerships that support residents across the lifespan.
Under the direction of the DUCIHDirector, Assistant Director, Director of Business and Administration, and incollaboration with Faculty Leadership, this position supports development andimplementation of DUCIH initiatives, including programs that integratecommunity health, interprofessional education, and research. The role also contributesto program evaluation, quality improvement efforts, and ensures alignment withUniversity policies, regulatory standards, and privacy requirements.
Work hours may include evenings andweekends to support community-based programming and events.
This is a grant funded position. This position reports to the AssistantDirector, Duquesne University Center for Integrative Health. ProgramManagement & Implementation: Assists with management andimplementation of community-based health programs, including evidence-basedhealth promotion programming, chronic disease prevention and managementcurricula, Community-Clinical Linkages preventive health screenings, andrelated initiatives. Collaborates with Center faculty,staff, and community partners to plan, implement, and evaluateinterdisciplinary programs and activities across the lifespan.
Provides guidance and support tointerdisciplinary students participating in DUCIH's community-based programs.
CommunityEngagement & Partnerships: Develops and maintains collaborativerelationships with Bridges to Health Collaborative Partners to support programimplementation and sustainability.
Serves as a liaison between DUCIH andcommunity stakeholders to support outreach, engagement, and alignment withcommunity-identified health priorities.
Represents the Center throughparticipation in community meetings, outreach activities, and otherprofessional engagements to strengthen community and University partnerships.
Research,Data & Evaluation: Supports faculty-led research andprogram evaluation activities, including participant recruitment, retention,data collection, and data management.
Assists in the development andimplementation of data collection processes, including those related to socialdeterminants of health and community-based interventions.
Maintains accurate records andcontribute to reporting efforts to support program evaluation and data-informeddecision-making.
QualityImprovement & Strategic Support: Contributes to continuous qualityimprovement efforts by supporting program evaluation, performance tracking, andoutcome measurement.
Identify opportunities for workflowand process improvements and assist in implementing strategies to enhanceprogram effectiveness, efficiency, scalability.
Partners with DUCIH leadership ondata-informed planning and the advancement of value-based and population-healthinitiatives aligned with Center priorities.
In collaboration with DUCIHleadership, ensure adherence to University policies and regulatory standards tosupport alignment with privacy, confidentiality, and applicable legal andregulatory requirements.
Supports the development and refinementof scalable program models by contributing to workflow design, standardization,and continuous improvement efforts.
Leads quality improvement initiativesaligned with strategic priorities under the direction of DUCIH leadership,supporting the advancement of consistent, high-quality programming across theCenter's portfolio.
Independently maintain organized,accurate, and secure files related to programs, partnerships, and assignedprojects.
ProfessionalCollaboration: Collaborates with Faculty Leadership and interdisciplinary teams across the University tosupport Center initiatives, strategic goals, and program growth.
Participates in required trainings, meetings, and professional development activities, andmaintain current knowledge of community health and population health practices.
Completes otherduties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in public health, health sciences, healthcareadministration, nursing, social work, or a related field from an accreditededucational institution required. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevantexperience in community health, population health, healthcare, public health,or a related field, including program or project coordination.
Experience planning, implementing, andevaluating community-based or population health programs.
Experience working collaborativelywith interdisciplinary teams and engaging diverse community and organizationalstakeholders.
Experience with quality improvement,program evaluation, and use of data to inform decision-making.
Knowledge of privacy, confidentiality,and applicable regulatory standards in healthcare or community-based settings.
Demonstrated ability to managemultiple priorities, work independently and collaboratively, and communicateeffectively in a professional environment.
Preferred qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited educational institution. Experience in an academic orUniversity-based setting and/or working with students in applied learningenvironments.
Familiarity with community-engagedapproaches, social determinants of health, or value-based care models.
Experience supporting the development,refinement, or expansion of scalable program models across community ororganizational settings.
Alternatively, the successful candidate maypossess any equivalent combination of experience and training, which providesthe knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential jobfunctions.
