Responsibilities & Skills Teach Regents Earth Science and conduct required lab work. Observe and evaluate students’ performance relative to NYS P‑12 Science Learning Standards. Use explicit instruction techniques: clear learning targets, modeling, guided practice, and frequent checks for understanding. Differentiate instruction for diverse academic, linguistic, social, and emotional needs, including students with disabilities and English Language Learners. Increase student engagement through voice and discussion. Establish a classroom culture grounded in restorative practices, emphasizing relationships, accountability, and community. Provide a nurturing, supportive environment with high expectations that encourages responsibility and leadership. Responsibilities & Skills Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, observations, and diagnostics for K‑12 students. Write clear, compliant reports translating psychometric data into actionable classroom recommendations. Facilitate CSE, CPSE, and 504 meetings to determine eligibility, accommodations, and placements. Design and execute Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to identify root causes of challenging behaviors. Develop and monitor evidence‑based Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs). Participate in Child Study and Intervention Team meetings for pre‑referral cases. Collect and analyze student and classroom data to evaluate progress and environmental impacts. Implement Response to Intervention (RTI) protocols using robust data collection. Maintain meticulous records of special education reports, progress metrics, and services. Preferred training in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment. Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee. Responsibilities & Skills Design, plan, and deliver high‑quality, differentiated instruction aligned with state English Language Development standards to meet the linguistic and academic needs of ELLs. Utilize research‑based co‑teaching strategies in collaboration with content‑area teachers. Maintain deep knowledge of second language acquisition theories and literacy development for multilingual learners. Use continuous formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and adjust instruction. Administer, analyze, and interpret district and state language proficiency assessments. Establish a safe, supportive, inclusive classroom culture rooted in restorative practices.
